The 2017-18 season continues with the latest round of games this weekend. This will see us among those involved with three points of course the aim.

Previous results

Saturday 7th October
Doncaster Rovers 4-1 Southend United 15:00
Milton Keynes Dons 1-4 Bradford City 15:00
Northampton Town 0-6 Bristol Rovers 15:00
Oxford United 3-0 AFC Wimbledon 15:00
Plymouth Argyle 1-2 Fleetwood Town 15:00
Rochdale 0-1 Rotherham United 15:00
Scunthorpe United 1-2 Wigan Athletic 15:00
Walsall 1-1 Shrewsbury Town 15:00

Sunday 8th October
Gillingham 0-1 Portsmouth 14:30

Bristol Rovers and Oxford meet at the Memorial Stadium looking for the points, which could potentially take them into the top six – something third place Bradford will remain whatever the result at Bury. However, three points could take them up to second whereas three for the Shakers would keep them above the drop zone.

A play off place would be consolidated by Charlton if they send Doncaster packing with nothing whereas a third win in four from Fleetwood – when Rochdale visit Highbury – could move them above the Addicks.

Northampton and AFC Wimbledon meet with both in the bottom four a position Oldham are just above ahead of Blackburn’s visit to Boundary Park when Rovers look for a third straight win.

Leaders Shrewsbury would be expected to get a win at Home Park against a Plymouth side that’s lost the last four in a row to slide to the foot of the League One table.

The run of results for Portsmouth has seen a win followed by a defeat – should this sequence continue against MK Dons – who have only lost once in the last five – at Fratton Park then Pompey would suffer a loss.

Rotherham’s three wins in four has taken them up to fourth but three without a win – including successive defeats – has seen Scunthorpe slip below the top six.

If Wigan can win for a fourth game running it could be enough to take Paul Cook’s side to the top of table above Shrewsbury but if Southend were able to overcome the Latics and Bradford win they could drop to third.

What will happen in this one though? Cast your vote so we know if you think it’ll be all smiles or disappointment come the full time whistle.
