Amidst the latest HMRC concerns the thoughts for many of us are more than likely along the lines that Pompey will have little choice but to offload players, even if we might not want to.
With most of us waiting anxiously to see what the outcome is with player departures before another ‘possible’ court date with the taxman next month?
Speaking of the taxman Harry Redknapp and Milan Mandaric, as if you did not know, started their court cases this week charged on various counts of tax evasion…
Anyway, back to the point in hand player departures are something we would be expecting in the next week or so before the transfer window closes.
By all accounts another bid for Joel Ward and Jason Pearce has come in from Ipswich, although this has again been turned down!
So, at the moment Pompey are standing firm and are managing to fend off the circling vultures – the problem is how much longer can we do this?
Having failed with two bids will Ipswich launch a third and see it third time lucky for them but third time unlucky for us…
