These words of praise for Paul Cook, which is only fair to be honest given the fact Cookie seems to get A LOT of criticism fairly quickly, have just arrived in my mailbox from Stmonkton52.
I am a bit surprised we haven’t heard more praise for the manager. Two months ago I thought he had blown it and should be on his way, so it is only fair to applaud him now. What a difference March and April have brought.
The run in to promotion has been fantastic and I for one am happy to give the manager lots of credit for that performance.
It is a long time since we finished a season this happy so well done Paul Cook.

Yes, like I say I think Stmonkton52 certainly has a point and praise for Cookie – as frustrating as he can be at times – should be dished out, after all he’s achieved what he said he would.
