Storrie starting to come clean

After almost saying everything was ok earlier in the week, that the ground renovation was about to begin, the training ground would be started soon, a new owner was possibly on the horizon, Peter Storrie has also admitted that if new ownership is not found, our top assets would be sold in the summer.

In a story with today’s News Storrie says
‘I would like to keep all our good players but obviously a lot depends on the ownership issue.

‘Hopefully, we can bring a new owner in who can also put finance in because there is finance required for the club going forward.

‘At this moment in time, what happens in the transfer market depends entirely on the position regarding the ownership of the club.

‘Sacha has made it very clear that although he has done some fantastic things in the past, he cannot put any more finance in so it will wholly depend on what happens on that front.

‘At the moment various discussions are continuing on that and I am hopeful something will happen sooner rather than later.’

It confirms what most of us have known for some time, if we cannot be sold as a club, then Johnson, Kranjcar and Crouch will be sacrificed to ensure financial stability, while some of the bigger earners will no doubt be left to run their contracts out and then be left to walk away.

Any rich Greek shipping magnates out there?
