Storrie – extra quality will arrive

Peter Storrie has promised that whatever money is raised from sales of players will be reinvested into new players in order to aid our quest for European football – and these players will be quality footballers…

When speaking to The News he would not be drawn on how much money will be available, but did say that all the money from ‘one or two leaving’ would be used to buy further quality.

Matty Taylor, Lauren and Djimi Traore are being reported as ‘the biggest casualties’ but in all honesty are we really likely to get that much money even if we sold all 3? My thinking is that with the money we would get – or at least will accept – we would not be able to buy in players that were any better…

The News also reported that Storrie has said that Leroy Lita and Marvin Elliott are not players Pompey are looking to sign – that does not mean it will not happen though does it.

All we can do this month is sit back, be patient and see what happens I guess – as well as soak up the numerous ‘rumours’.
