‘I will not be renewing/buying a season ticket next season’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts that I have to say that I am ‘thinking’ about following, even if that is not what I really want to do…
The way Portsmouth Football Club have gone about organising, scheduling and announcing the season tickets for next season has left PLENTY of people less than impressed!
To be honest I am pretty sure that the price increase is not so much of an issue – yep there is an increase but all in all I would say that most of us expected this and can pretty much accept this.
The main bone of contentions are with the limited time to take advantage of the early bird window, and more importantly, the fact that NO credit or debit cards can be used to make payment, cash or cheque are the only ways of paying…
Well, that is unless you take up the Zebra Finance offer, which is less than appealing!
The club have made a right balls up with this and unless a rethink is had, and fast, season ticket numbers will tumble – both for those opting against renewing and those buying that would have, then again season ticket prices after early bird ‘should’ include the option of credit/debit card as a payment means.
