Diarra on the mend.

Some good news today concerning Lassana Diarra. He has had a scan with the French national squad and could possibly be fit as early as this Saturday when Hull City come to Fratton Park.

Physio Gary Sadler told the clubs official site `When Lassana left Upton Park on crutches we thought he had a very bad ankle injury. But the injury isn`t as bad as we originally thought`.

Ticket Concession warning

Pompey have again warned fans against attempting to enter the ground using the wrong ticket type. During the last few months club officials have become aware that a large group of fans have the incorrect ticket type – mostly adults using junior`s or young person`s tickets – and plan to take severe action.

Additional staff will police the automatic gates and anyone found using the wrong type of ticket will have the ticket confiscated, they will be ejected from the ground and banned from attending future matches.

Remember if, for example, you are given a ticket by a senior citizen to use for one game you can upgrade the ticket at the ticket office at a relatively small cost and save all the hassle.

Spurs sacked goalkeeping coach

Tottenham goalkeeping coach Hans Leitert has been sacked following a number of poor displays by error-prone keeper Heurelho Gomes. Brazilian Gomes only joined in the summer from PSV Eindhoven for £10 Million and has been blamed for a number of goals conceded recently.

However it is his coach who has paid the ultimate price and he too only joined in the summer. Speculation now is that ex-Pompey boss Harry Redknapp will attempt to lure Pompey`s keeping Coach David Coles to the Lane. Coles has played a major role in David James` return to the England team.

Sahar returns to the Bridge

Pompey have announced that on loan Israeli striker Ben Sahar will return to Stamford Bridge in January rather than an attempt be made to extend the agreement.

Sahar has not been involved with the first team in their last fourteen games and has yet to make his debut. Some will argue that he has not been given a chance to impress but the decision appears to have been made to free up one of the two loans allowed from other Premier League sides. Arnand Traore fills the other place.

Belhadj wants to sign permanently

Nadir Belhadj the left sided player on loan form Lens has made it clear he wanted to sign permanently.

He admitted that although the language is still a problem he has the advantage of a number of French speakers around him to help and wants a permanent deal sorted soon.
