Harry Redknapp was left a very happy man at the end of a fantastic week for Portsmouth Football Club, a week that saw victories over United, Birmingham and Villa.
Following the win over Villa at Fratton Park yesterday Redknapp had praise for those that ‘entertained’ the crowd, as well as those that stood in for others when he told The News: ‘we played some decent stuff and we gave the punters some good value. Some of the football was top quality.
‘Niko Kranjcar is an excellent footballer and showed that.
‘The fans must be loving what they are seeing.
‘We were without Sol but Hermann did a good job in the middle and Lauren came in and had a good game.
‘There were a lot of strong performances against a good team.’
It was a very good performance, and we certainly did entertain, something which in all honesty we have been lacking at home for the vast majority of this season – granted we might have only lost 2 home games this season but we have not always seen the best of our side have we? hopefully now though we can get back to our very best in front of the home crowd.
