These are the thoughts that Harry Redknapp shared with sky sports after our defeat to Spurs yesterday: ‘I thought we were terrific. I must be honest, with 10 minutes to go at 0-0, I thought it would be a great point.

‘I thought they ran out of ideas a bit. But then we defended poorly and got punished.

‘But the lads worked hard and showed a great attitude today.

‘Six lads that would have played, didn’t play. But the lads that came in did a good job.

‘They are a good team Tottenham. They are full of good, quality players’.

Spurs always looked more threatening than we did and ultimately got the win that they probably deserved, but with the amount of regulars missing out that we did, we did well to hold on as long as we did – it is just a shame that we could not have held on a little longer.

Those that did come in yesterday however did themselves justice to be honest so we cannot have many arguments, or grievances there can we. We are almost there in terms of having enough quality to cope with a number of injuries and suspensions – hopefully this will be balanced in the summer?
