Once again this week saw Harry Redknapp’s name – and to a lesser extend that of Portsmouth Football Club – dragged through the mud, with the general opinion among the media that he was guilty until proven innocent!

Yesterday he called a press conference – to hear this simply click here and follow the instructions – in which it was plain to see that he was not happy with the way that his wife Sandra had been treated. I mean come on, why were the media turning up at his house along with the Police?

Whilst he was not amused in typical Redknapp fashion he still managed to entertain the crowd and have a laugh about elements of what had gone on.

I feel really sorry for Redknapp as just when he was starting to gain the credit and praise that he deserves for his efforts with Pompey – after all he is a contender for the England job – bang, the media decide to take great pride in sticking the boot in.

I could be wrong but the impression that I get is that the papers – the same ones clambering for him to get the England job! – were happy splashing his face all over the papers branding him guilty of something, but have not been so forthcoming in talking about his innocence…

Redknapp is a fantastic manager and has been for some 20 odd years, the best way that he can react to the goings on of the last few days is by doing what he does best and sending his troops out at the weekend and picking up 3 points.

We always have and always will support you ‘arry.
