Puts it all in perspective

As I write this I do not know the score at all really.

What am I talking about?

Well I am talking about Fabrice Muamba

I suspect you all know what I mean by that, but if not then the Bolton midfielder collapsed during Bolton’s FA cup game with Spurs on Saturday evening and suffered what could be a fatal incident, although hopefully it will not be.

Following our draw with Bristol City, which I completely enjoyed despite our failure to win, I was out with my cousins and a few family friend members on a night out when the 24-year-old collapsed during the televised game.

After quite a sustained period of treatment on the pitch, with the game soon called off after he was taken to hospital, it soon put into perspective our problems.

Yep, we might be facing the future of our club being at risk but the fact that the life of such a young man, fit and seemingly healthy footballer at that, is in the balance it makes you put into perspective what really is important really.

The future of Portsmouth Football Club means so much to us but in the grand scheme of things just how important is this in relation to something that most of us may well take for granted?

Watching events as they unfolded you cannot help but fear for the worst but I would think that each and everyone of us hope for the very best as far as Muamba is concerned and we all have our thoughts with him, and his family, at this time…

Add this to the sad news that life long Pompey fan Tony Goodall very sadly passed away this weekend it has been a very sombre weekend that does make you put many things into perspective really.
