You are voting for your ATPL starting XI and the results for the Left Midfield has been decided.

With 51%, you have decided that Ryan Giggs will be representing the side.

He was followed up in second place by Robert Pires with 21% of the votes.

In third place was David Ginola with 10%.

So, Ryan Giggs, Ryan Giggs running down the wing……….seems like he has been torturing defences forever doesn’t it. What can I tell you about him though? He was personally signed by Sir Alex Ferguson as a 14 year old with the promise of being professional at the age of 17. He, as we all know has been at United ever since, making his debut in March 1991 against Everton. From the 1991 – 1992 season onwards Giggs has been a regular for the united team and picked up an enormous amount of silverware in this time.

In one long breath here is a list of his achievements:

10 Premiership Titles, and three runners up medals. Four FA Cup winners medals and three runners up medals. Two league cup winners medals and two runners up medals. Seven community shield winners medals. Two Champions League winning medals, and one UEFA Super Cup winning medal. He is also currently the Vice Club Captain of United only second to Gary Neville.

Giggs has so far made over 500 league appearances for United and scored 101 goals, so far. He scored his 100th against Derby last Christmas and holds a record with Gary Speed for scoring in every year that the Premiership has been running. A title he will surely take on by himself this season. He is due to finish his contract at the end of this season but Sir Alex believes there is still more to come from Giggs, so expect him to remain there for a few more years.

Next up are the 2 centre midfielders. Like the centre back pairing I will be taking the two players with the highest votes through to go into the team so be careful who you vote for.
