PompeyFCMad gives his take on tonights events at Privett Park as a youthful Pompey ease to a 3-0 victory

Pompey 3-0 Gosport Borough


This is going to be a short match report as I only had The Quay to rely on for info and it didn`t help that they did advert breaks in each half. Before the game good news came as The Quay announced they we be doing Pompey Live and the Football hours this season.

Antti Niemi made his debut in a very youthful Pompey side. Niemi got a run out with the intention of playing against Fulham on Saturday if Jamo doesn`t recover from his knee injury in time.

A very youthful Pompey team led by Niemi dominated the whole match which proved to be a great run out for the young players.

Matt Richie scored the first goal.

Pompey were then awarded a penalty for a foul on trialist Ashikodi who quickly picked himself up dusted himself down to score past the Nick Hutchins Gosport keeper.

Half Time Pompey 2-0 Gosport Borough.

Youngster Ryan Gazat du Chattelier blazed an easy chance late in the second half after Subotic went round the Gosport keeper and du Chattelier
Took the ball off the toe of Subotic

However late on Subotic went racing through and popped one into the bottom left hand corner and through a hole in the net to make it 3-0
