Real Betis Tickets On Sale
Tickets for Pompey’s pre-season friendly against Real Betis are now on general sale.

The Fratton Park clash with the Spanish La Liga side kicks-off at 6.30pm on Saturday, July 30.

Seats are £10 for adults, £5 for seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22) and just £1 for juniors (under 17s).

The match will be Pompey’s final chance to prepare for the 2011/12 Championship season which starts with a trip to Middlesbrough on August 6.

Betis won the Segunda Division last season to secure a return to the Spanish top flight.

Speaking of ticket sales and pre-season friendlies it would appear that the lure of premier league opposition at Fratton is appealing to the masses!

Also on The Pompey Site today the club announced that almost ¾ of the ground is sold-out with over 14,000 tickets sold…

Chelsea Tickets: More Than 14,000 Sold
More than 14,000 tickets have now been sold for Chelsea’s visit to Fratton Park on Saturday.

Seats are selling fast in all areas of the ground for the pre-season clash which will be the first game at Fratton Park since the club’s new owners took over the club in May.

Chelsea have sold more than 3,000 seats and their fans will fill the Milton end.

New signings like David Norris, Luke Varney, Jason Pearce and Stephen Henderson are poised to get their first taste of Fratton Park as Pompey players.

All four played in Pompey’s 4-0 win at Havant & Waterlooville on Monday night, with Varney on the scoresheet.

The match – which kicks-off at 3pm – will be Andre Villas-Boas’ first in charge of Chelsea since replacing Carlo Ancelotti as manager.

Tickets are available to buy online here, by calling 0844 847 1898 (option one) or in person from the ticket office in Frogmore Road.

Seats bought in advance cost £15 for adults and £10 for seniors (60+) and young persons (17-22), while children aged 16 and under can watch the game for just £1.

Supporters who bought their tickets after 4pm on Wednesday, July 13 will need to collect them from the ticket office.

Tickets bought at the stadium on the day of the game should be purchased from the three ticket kiosks behind the Fratton end. Seats will be £20 for adults and £15 for concessions. Child tickets will remain at just £1.

The first kiosk opens at 10am, with the last one closing at 3.40pm.

The ticket office in Frogmore Road will be open from 10am for collections only.

Pompey last met Chelsea in the 2010 FA Cup final when Didier Drogba’s second-half strike secured a 1-0 win for the Londoners after Kevin-Prince Boateng had missed a penalty.
