Pompey have been drawn away to Ipswich in the 3rd round of the cup, so a nice visit to Portman Road against a good Ipswich side awaits us early in the new year.

We played Ipswich a couple of years back when we beat them 1-0 at the same stage thanks for a Dario Silva header I believe, with this also taking place at Portman Road.

I for one am hoping for a long and successful cup run this season, so although the draw could have been kinder, it could have been a lot worse couldn’t it – ideally being at Fortress Fratton would have been preferable, but having said that the way our away form is going this season maybe we would have rather been away anyway…

This cup game will be our first weekend game of 2008 and will come after a visit to Reading on new years day, during the week prior.

What do we reckon fellas, are we happy with this tie? We should be really shouldn’t we, and – with all due respect to Ipswich – we ought to win it too…
