Skysports.com is reporting that we are closing in on Trindad youngster Khaleem Hyland – a long term reported target…

After a trial last year a move from San Juan Jabloteh to Pompey was denied when the midfielder was rejected a work permit, but having kept an eye on the 19-year-old his agent has said that subject to a work permit being issued this time he will be coming to Fratton this summer: ‘Khaleem has been offered a four-year deal by Portsmouth and we are just waiting for a work permit and we don’t envisage any problems with that.

‘There were a host of clubs interested in signing Khaleem, but he is happy to go with Portsmouth.

‘Portsmouth have held a long-term interest in Khaleem and he is looking forward to the chance of playing in England.’

To be honest I do not know a great deal about the fella, other than the fact that we have been after him for a long while now, but from the looks of it, if what his agent has told skysports.com is true his signing is getting close… if he gets a work permit this time…
