The Pompey Predictions League is very much part of this site now isn’t it? Would it be the same without it – I’m not sure it would to be honest with you.

Done and done? no, not this competition, Pompey’s promotion. Let’s face it this hasn’t been in doubt for a number of weeks now (again promotion, not this competition) really as the Blues merely needed official confirmation, which came with a 3-1 win at Notts County on Monday.

League one here we come but before we do we have a few games to finish off, starting with the visit of Cambridge to Fratton Park tomorrow.

Over to uspompeyfan with the next update to the game in the 2016-17 season…

Pompey got to taste the Highs and Lowe’s at Meadow Lane as 2 late strikes gave us the points that let us kiss League 2 goodbye. In what was a nervy middle of the game, Pompey seemed to spring into life late on and pushed a tiring County defence over.

I would like to add a word of congrats to the home team, who apparently contacted Pompey and asked what music they could play if promotion occurred. The club also allowed the 4450 fans time to enjoy the success in what looked to be amazing scenes.

On to serious matters and the leading 2, Dorking Pompey and Daughter of Wiggy increased their lead over the chasing pack by banking on a Pompey success. Jim Smith’s Wig and Langston both chose the draw, while Blue Exile went for a home win as the chasing players look to find alternative scores to close the gap, knowing that Dorking has gone 2-0 and daughter of Wiggy 1-0 almost throughout the season.

Rug jumps on top of Trina in a topsy turvy private battle in mid table as Rug was the only maximum point scorer today.

On the final monthly compo, USPF leads on 35 points, while the chasing pack on 30 points includes Blue Exile, Rug, Dorking Pompey and Jim Smith’s Wig.

With 3 games to go this season, 2 in April, we have both competitions in a critical phase and lots to play for.

You can also see the table via the forum thread, here.

Keep on keeping on guys!

Anyone can enter at any time remember! Just because you missed out on predicting for the last game against the Magpies it’s by no means too late so join in now, perhaps for the first time in our next league game.

This comes at Fratton tomorrow for the visit of Cambridge.

As we’re always keen to make it as easy for you as possible because we want plenty to get involved in this game – and the site in general – the forum link for your prediction to be made on this game is below, along with the other April game too.
