Finally that monkey is off our back, Pompey were able to secure successive League One wins when victory over Gillingham was followed up by a win over MK Dons at Fratton Park on Saturday – Oli Hawkins’ brace gave the Blues a 2-0 win.
Over to uspompeyfan with his latest update to the 2017-18 season…
It was nice to see a very controlled Pompey performance where everything seemed to slip into gear and Pompey securing another three points. Hawkins is certainly having a golden period and grabbed his brace well. Suddenly Pompey are looking at the leaders without the need to look downwards which is comforting.
5 players scored a maximum tally today, including USPF who scored only his second maximum of the year. Morgan closed the gap on JSW as the top two are pulling away a little bit, while Steaming scored another maximum to move quietly into third with 55 points
We have a quick midweek turnaround as Pompey go on a long road trip.
