‘Kevin-Prince Boateng was the man of the match against Wolves’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts that I guess are about fair…

Once again, for me, it was hard to single anyone out as being ‘the best player’, that said Boateng has without a doubt added extra quality, and a dimension, to the midfield and is looking a really good footballer – much better than I thought he would be to be honest!

I also thought Tommy Smith again ran his nuts off again, so it is easy to see why he had a large amount of the vote. Again I do feel he has a lot more quality about him than I, and many others, expected and he works bloody hard to go with it. His first touch is often really good and he can often turn at pace – as he did against Wolves several times.

All in all though Boateng was probably just about the worthy winner, although I would say some are probably lower than they should have been…
