Talk of Nicky Shorey joining Pompey on a season loan has intensified over the past few days and according to ‘sky sports sources’ this morning it is ‘said’ that we are close to securing this loan deal…
Villa defender Shorey is now on his way to Fratton for a medical before completing his signing.
I think the guy would make a good signing but I am still not entirely sure if I would have used this final domestic loan on the 28-year-old full back, but then again it could have been a lot worse! We are talking about an England international here…
Joining him on loan will be Hassan Yebda.
News of this season long loan ‘officially’ happening broke on Monday evening, although nothing official from our end has been announced on the Benfica midfielders loan signing.
