The Sun says that we will miss out on Shaun Wright-Phillips as our interest ‘has cooled’ due to the asking price – so Villa will nip in and secure him for £8m…

As we have been told, a host of players are looking to be moved on and according to The Independent, as we seek to raise funds, these will be: John Utaka, Sean Davis, Richard Hughes and Pedro Mendes. All are ‘apparently’ on the ‘must be sold’ list…

Although the same paper – and various others – are running the Noe Pamarot to Hull story again, with it believed we are looking to also move him on in an attempt to raise some cash.

And finally, despite public comments to the contrary, Sulley Muntari remains very much on the wanted list for Inter – but they will not meet the £15m asking price. Sky Sport Italia claims that Inter already have ‘a provisional contract agreement with Muntari’ with ‘a three-year deal allegedly worth £1.7m but would rise to £2.2m at the end of the first season at San Siro’. Unless we agree to drop our asking price to £10m – a price they will not go above – the reports went on to claim they will look elsewhere.

So there we have it guys, a pretty eventful day with some ‘interesting’ news – but what do we think of it? As always thoughts below…
