Speaking of money, it is this that is ‘said’ to have prevented Blackpool from signing Luke Varney – who today told The News he is very keen to sign for us.
I know that Blackpool have, or at least had, a very strict wage structure in place.
With it ‘believed’ we will now sign him I do hope we do this, if we do, on sensible and realistic money and the lure of ‘plenty more’ is not being offered as an incentive to players, especially those that are, with all due respect, average at best…
