PLEASE get us the best deals!

The sales will start for Pompey soon enough, in fact next week is ‘set’ to see the start of the sales when 3, 4 or 5 players will go, we will not sell ‘hundreds’ though as we need a squad for next season, although if Admin Andy thinks we can raise ‘£20m plus,’ as much as he is right and it would be ‘ideal’, he is crazy as this aint gonna happen is it…

He does ‘insists’ though that ‘we do not have to sell anyone on the cheap and there will be no stupid offers accepted.’

Please, for once lets make sure this is the case!

We have to strike a happy medium though as we have to also take into account the wages being paid out, we cannot demand too much but cannot cut off our nose to spite our face either – just do it right, please.

He ‘claims’ that a deal to take Tal Ben-Haim to West Ham with Uncle Avram is already done, with him joining them on a free transfer so we can save the money on his wages and image rights, which is almost £3m a year…lets just hope that we have not had to ‘pay him off’ to leave and his contract quite literally has been ‘ripped up’…

West Ham, along with clubs in Spain and Germany, are ‘said’ to be interested in Kevin-Prince Boateng who is ‘expected’ to leave next week – he is being valued at £5m-£6m. Having ‘paid’ £4m we should, at the very least, be looking to get that back.

Papa Bouba Diop, John Utaka – who is gaining ‘lots of attention’ apparently, Marc Wilson, Aaron Mokoena and Hayden Mullins have all had enquires made about them.

So, all seem destined to go, although he says we DO NOT want to sell Mokoena.

An offer of 1.5m euros has come in from a club in Qatar for Nadir Belhadj, but we want £4m-£6m for him – for me that is fair enough, with £4m being the least we should accept.

The major bit of bad news in the fact that Storrieteller is doing these deals with The News saying he ‘has been put in charge of player sales in attempt to get the best price possible.’

PLEASE JUST GET RID OF THE GUY!

We have a chief exec coming in next week, surely doing these deals is his job?

WHY let the ‘consultant’ do his job for him, get rid of him! Thank him for his ‘help’ but tell him we no longer have need for his services – he has ‘done more than enough’, and if others, getting paid far less than him, have been moved on and players are being sacrificed, now is the time for him to move on too, a new CEO should mean bye, bye Storrieteller!

Any man of honour, dignity and respectability would turn round and do the decent thing and walk away now, then again he is none of these things is he…

Although, seen as it appears this will be the case, please, for the love of God do what is best for the long-term of Portsmouth Football Club, not the buying clubs, not the ‘agents’ and sure as hell not for you Storrieteller – who will no doubt pick up a large slice of whatever we bring in.

The most worrying thing about him ‘doing the deals’ is the fact that I suspect we will be dealing, mostly, with clubs that use the ‘usual suspects’ as agents, and we all know how well we have ‘treated’ them over the years! Sometimes above and beyond the call of duty…

Something that I am completely sick and tired of us continually being screwed over by are these poxy ‘sell on clauses’ and the like, so we MUST be looking to put similar clauses into contracts of those sold on.

As said, as much as I hate these ‘clauses’, and think it should be x-amount paid for x-player on a money upfront or at least 50%-75% up front and the rest within a year or something, we have got to be looking similar deals. Going for things like x-amount EXTRA after so many games are played for the new club (not 50% of a fee and then extra after certain games a la the Benjani deal!), or x-amount EXTRA if a trophy is won at the new club, and in particular things like x-amount EXTRA when the first international cap is gained, this applies for the likes of Boateng and Wilson and 10% of any future transfer fee.

Are these basics, which seem common place in football these days, really that much to ask?

FFS, if Storrieteller does not get such clauses written in as the SELLING club – and seeing this money ONLY coming to PFC, even if we have to pass it onto creditor – then the guy is an even worse deal breaker than it looked, as he has handed these out left, right and centre when players signed! Why should we not do these when the are bloody well sold too!

Do the right deals by us and do not screw us over, this has happened enough in recent times…
