Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

5/11/1905: John Weddle
4/11/1934: Alan Barnett
4/11/1939: Roy Lunniss

From the Ed

Happy birthday to John Weddle, Alan Barnett and Roy Lunniss – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

All the birthdays were before my time, Lunniss and Barnett were probably before the time of any of us with that most definitely the case with Weddle – none of them are players I know of either to be honest.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 15
Won – 6
Drawn – 3
Lost – 6

Another of those days when I recall a good number of the games played but haven’t been at any of them myself, which isn’t changing today as I’m not at the FA Cup game at Luton.

What are your memories of Weddle, Barnett and/or Lunniss – not that anyone would have seen any I doubt? – from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
