Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

29/4/1947 David Munks

From the Ed

Happy birthday to David Munks – the Pompey player from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I’ve heard on Munks, but he was before my time so I didn’t see him play. I can’t claim to know much about him either to be honest.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 16
Won – 8
Drawn – 1
Lost – 7

Not too much in it today, but at least we can claim one more win than anything else.

I can claim the defeat against Walsall at the Bescot Stadium back in 2000 as my only game today. However, and who could forget it, I recall the Wigan game very, very well as it secured our Premier League survival in the great escape season of 2005-06.

What are your memories of Munks from his Pompey days? Also, have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories of them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
