Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

27/10/1948: Roger Davidson
27/10/1978: Jhon Viafara

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Roger Davidson and Jhon Viafara – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

A couple of birthdays today.

Davidson was before my Pompey days and not a name known to me either, whereas Viafara was not a player who had a particularly good spell with the Blues did he but did ok, I think, with the Saints when he joined them.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 15
Won – 7
Drawn – 3
Lost – 5

Think it’s only the one game for me, might be two but not sure I was at the West Ham game in 2007?

Remember watching the win over Stoke in 2009 in the League Cup from the Fratton End on a cold midweek night with the late Ken Malley, also sitting with Chix, who long-term readers on here will recall well.

What are your memories of Davidson and/or Viafara from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
