Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

19/9/1978: Ognjen Koroman
19/9/1979 Chris Tardiff

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Ognjen Koroman and Chris Tardiff – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Koroman was an international who didn’t really live up to expectations with the limited chances he had during his time with us – I’m sure I saw bits and bobs of him.

Goalkeeper Tardiff didn’t ever manage a first team appearance for Pompey. Well, I think he didn’t anyway, but I do recall him.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 16
Won – 7
Drawn – 3
Lost – 6

A number of games are recalled, including Mansfield in a game that saw Fernandes – an odd deal wasn’t it – marking his debut in style in a League Cup win but I have only actually been to the one game, which was the most recent played.

The draw at Oxford in 2015 wasn’t the best of games but we did come away with a point from the Kassam Stadium and I saw, in what was arguably, McGurk’s most impressive moment for Pompey as he scored a great goal.

What are your memories of Koroman and/or Tardiff from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
