Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day…

18/2/1912: Harold Crawshaw
18/2/1934: Derek Rees
18/2/1992: Kal Naismith

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Harold Crawshaw, Derek Rees and Kal Naismith – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Crawshaw and Rees were both well before my time. Naismith is of course still at Fratton Park now with him a player that I quite like as a squad player but not sure about him being a regular in the starting XI?

Now onto the games previously played ahead of the one at Barnet later.

Played – 14
Won – 1
Drawn – 6
Lost – 7

What an awful day with just the one win – way back in 1922 – on this day from 14 previously played. 7 have been lost with the other 6 drawn. Will the game at Barnet bring better fortunes?

Nothing for me today as I’ve not previously managed a game on this day. I’ll not be at the Hive today either as I’ll be on a mates stag do when Pompey play Barnet.

What are your memories of Crawshaw – too early for anyone, Rees – probably before most – and/or Naismith from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?

PLAY UP POMPEY
