Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

10/10/1936: Ray Pointer
10/10/1939: Willie Morrison
10/10/1959: Vince Hilaire
10/10/1963: Bjorn Kristensen
10/10/1970: Dean Kiely
10/10/1993: Jayden Stockley

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Ray Pointer, Willie Morrison, Vince Hilaire, Bjorn Kristensen, Dean Kiely and Jayden Stockley – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

Pointer and Morrison were before my time with Hilaire known well but not someone I can say I was able to see in action for Pompey – Kristensen is another that I didn’t see too much of in a Blues shirt but was a player I liked.

Kiely was a tad unlucky to be against a ‘Hollywood ‘keeper’ – as he called David James – but in his time with us he did well and his part in keeping the Blues in the Premier League will never be forgotten.

Meanwhile, Stockley had his moments during a mixed time when on loan from Bournemouth.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 14
Won – 5
Drawn – 2
Lost – 7

Again not too many games played in the past 20 years or so, therefore few opportunities for me to take in a game but I can still claim the most recent one.

However, in all honesty I cannot remember much about the win at Cambridge in 2015 as the pre-match beverages – what a mix we had – started to cloud the game but do remember the victory and enjoying it.

What are your memories of Pointer, Morrison, Hilaire, Kristensen, Kiely and/or Stockley from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
