Another feature, again courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, sees us look at those Pompey personalities – past or present – who have a birthday on this day.

10/12/1964: Ray Daniel
10/12/1983: Lewis Buxton

From the Ed

Happy birthday to Ray Daniel and Lewis Buxton – the Pompey players from the Blues’ past born on this day.

I know of both of these well but didn’t really see much of either of them for Pompey in all honest as they were at times where wasn’t travelling to watch the Blues regularly or had ‘taken a break’ from football owing to other commitments.

Now onto the games previously played.

Played – 16
Won – 8
Drawn – 6
Lost – 2

A traditionally very good day but with few games played in recent years I draw another blank. However, I do recall the win against Burnley in 2011 well as we had visitors that weekend – being Pompey fans they were happy to listen before we went out on the beer.

What are your memories of Daniel and/or Buxton from their Pompey days? Also have you taken in any of the games previously played today – if so what are the memories from them too?
