This time yesterday Jamie O’Hara looked as though he was staying with Pompey – well, that was the ‘claims’ made on the BBC from an apparent Pompey spokesman who said the premier league had agreed to letting us extend his loan…

Later these claims were denied and we were left back at square one again – with some ‘reports’ even ‘claiming’ that Spurs had, or where on the verge of recalling him.

O’Hara himself, speaking to sky sports news, is none the wiser as to what is going on but knows he could end up playing somewhere else: ‘I don’t know what the whole situation is so I’m just trying to wait and see what happens.

‘I mean obviously it’s up on the 15th so once I know then we can try and sort something out but I think there’s a clause in it where Tottenham maybe want me to go to three clubs and if Portsmouth can’t do it then maybe I’ll be going elsewhere.’

His is disappointed with the situation as he wants to play football, as he has here and ideally hopes to stay with us: ‘I’m disappointed obviously. I’ve been doing really well here, I’m enjoying my football so obviously I don’t want to go back and not play.

‘But I mean we are going to see what happens in the next week or so and hopefully something can get sorted out.’

‘Yeah of course (he wants to stay), I mean obviously I’m enjoying my football and I want to help Portsmouth get out of relegation.’

As for Onismor Bhasera, he still remains a player that we want but after several months we are still no nearer a conclusion on this. Not that we could sign him anyway, could well?

Although with a ‘deal’ said to have been agreed in September as this was before the embargo was in place if a resolution is found between the player and his club/former club and Fifa maybe we can…

And finally, not that it was a surprise, so I AM surprised that so many areas of the media made it out to be such – the latest premier league TV money will be paid straight to clubs that we owe money, and not to the club. This makes sense anyway does it not?
