Right at the death Dave Nugent left Pompey to join relegation rivals Burnley on loan.

Although not 100% confirmed to Peter Storrie, talking to sky sports news, at the time he did say that a loan deal – with the option to buy – was agreed with Burnley at the end of the window.

Good luck to Dave, things just have not worked out for him here have they…

Storrie did not exactly paint a pretty picture about regarding David James though? Although it might just have been me the way I viewed it.

He seemed to suggest that talk of a move was more from James and his agent and had any firm offer come in – other than a swap deal with Carlo Cudicini – he probably would have gone?

So, there we have it, it is done and dusted, although I still feel a free agent or 2 could, and possibly will, arrive between now and Bolton – I am off now as I have a train to catch home…
