According to The Daily Mail Bolton have been put off Matty Taylor because of our asking price… which if true is something that delights me personally!

The ‘reports’ say that Pompey are asking £5m for Taylor – which is surely more than fair given his quality and ability to quite possibly become a future England international – but this is more than Bolton are willing to pay.

Clearly I would ideally not want him to leave full stop, but the chances are heavily weighed in favour of him going – I am just delighted to hear that we are asking such an amount, as if he was sold for anything less saying I would be ‘disappointed’ would be an understatement.

Reading and Everton are just two of the other clubs ‘rumoured’ to be interested.
