I expected Pompey, I’ll not lie to you, to beat Yeovil on Saturday! Although I doubt I was alone?
We, of course, couldn’t manage this in a 0-0 draw at Fratton…
Although was that worthy of the post-match booing?
Personally, and I know I’m not a fan of booing anyway, I didn’t think so! It was ‘perhaps’ frustrating at times, yet again, in the 1st half, in a side that Richard Hughes would love to be a part of, with far too many sideways and backwards balls.
The 2nd half was much better with us looking more threatening, although we didn’t really look threatening enough in the sense that you felt we would score! I cannot recall a shot or target, definitely not a serious save made by the Glovers goalie?
Stupidly, and it was stupid, I – for some reason, which based in recent home showings wasn’t indicated really! – fancied a 5-1 win…Yeovil, to be fair, defended well but we couldn’t break them down.

Burgess was the match day sponsors’ MotM, for once I would agree with them on that one although, once again, the worry is that our most potent threat bringing the ball forward seemed to be him from central defence!
