Pompey will hopefully find out the full extent of Lomana LuaLua`s ankle injury on Monday morning when he is sent for a scan.
LuaLua injured his ankle in Friday`s nights friendly with Oxford United and first thoughts were that it could be serious maybe even ligament damage? After the game physio Gary Sadler said,
‘The swelling suggests a fair bit of damage.’
With only two weeks before our opening game and our striking options already very limited we will desperately hope that the injury isn`t too bad,
“You don’t know how gutted I am. Two weeks before the start of the season, can you believe it?’ is what LuaLua would say on the injury and it`s timing.
All we can do is keep our fingers crossed but this will surely only increase our need for at least one more striker, hopefully a quality one?
