Lets face it Kitson does not have much ground to make up on our top scorer; Nadir Ciftci isn’t it with 2?
So, with that in mind and his ability to produce the goods at this level I would not be in the least bit surprised to see him finish as our top scorer – we MUST create the openings for him, and others, though.
That in itself is easier said than done…
My hopes are with his arrival, and ‘hopefully’ with the other ‘arrivals’, that still await football league approval, we will be able to switch to a 4-4-2 formation and give Kitson a partner and I do think that he and Nugent could work well together.
That said if Steve Cotterill continues with his 4-5-1 then I think with Kitson we could actually play this system with more joy as he does have the ability to hold the ball up and bring others into play – Nugent’s first touch is poor so using him as the lone man just is not working. Yep, he works hard but sometimes this hard work is due to his own inability to hold up the ball making him chase his own errors.
Anyway, back to the point, Kitson to be our top scorer?
Yep, I will have some of that and would be surprised if he was not – bring on ‘The Ginger Assassin!’
