Pompey’s reward for seeing off Maidenhead in the FA Cup was a trip to Rochdale in an all-League One second round tie.

Ok, not an exciting draw, as such, but it has to be viewed as one that gives the Blues a decent chance of getting into round three, which could then bring us a money spinner against a Premier League side.
Well that was a crap draw. I am not venturing up the bloody M6 again

that couldn’t have gone much worse…..????????

As the highest ranked side – as things stand – currently in the competition, despite the fact Pompey will be playing away from home, you tend to think we’ll be seen as favourites to advance. In fact, due to our impressive form on the road, we should be favoured to go through, right?
I’ll take it. Delighted we’ve avoided Sunderland and Barnsley.

If we could have drawn another Non-League side, I reckon many a fan would’ve been happy with that.
I was hoping for any of the non league team tbh

However, as much as League One is our priority, a decent FA Cup run wouldn’t go amiss and this game at Spotland, much as we can’t assume we’ll win, gives us a cracking opportunity to move into round three.
Shocking draw let’s hope we can get to 3rd round for a big away trip ????????
