Hart on Spurs defeat

Paul Hart, much like ourselves, was left ‘frustrated’ once again by another defeat that probably should not have been…

He felt that: ‘apart from 15 or 20 minutes in the first half we dominated against an extremely good side and we’re all very disappointed we didn’t come out with what I thought we deserved,’ buy he felt we were ‘excellent again.’

We had enough chances that we should have taken that he was ‘disappointed we haven’t taken.’ Some of the misses were horrible, Aruna Dindane does not need me to tell him this, but Heurelho Gomes was inspired, some of his saves were fantastic.

Hart also had praise for the fans who he thought were ‘tremendous’ in our backing of the side again and ‘respectful’ of the returning Harry Redknapp – who himself has also been complimentary towards the fans and the club.

See Harts views on the above and more, including thoughts on the sendings off of Jermain Defoe and Michael Brown, in this sky sports video below…

All in all I thought Hart got most things right again and could not really be faulted for much, could he?

Although I would question taking Tommy Smith off though? It seemed we did this to try and get a little more width on the pitch but this did not exactly happen. Nadir Belhadj coming on was probably the right call, but for me he did not replace the right player…

I would have gone more cavalier myself, and really taken the game to the 10-men, and done this sooner – so, actually I guess I do not think that Hart got most things right, but am not blaming him for the defeat.
