Hart on Blackburn defeat

Paul Hart was left disappointed by the manor of the 3-1 defeat at Blackburn yesterday as we did not defend well enough. The set piece goals we conceded were not good enough in fact it was ‘sacrilege’.

He said that he will again ‘take the positives’ as we have been playing well and we will ‘take it on the chin and pick ourselves up, again’.

See Hart’s views on the above and more, including the continued belief that we can turn it around, in this sky sports video below…

This was always going to be a tough game but I cannot help but feel we made it ‘easier’ for Blackburn…

Whilst we were never going to be going all out attack I tend to feel that had we maybe pushed on a little more after the goal we could have added another – for me I did not ever really think we would see it through and hold on for some 75 minutes or so to be honest, so we had to show a little more intent.

The defending for the 1st and 2nd goals was poor, and although it was a decent move for the 3rd I again feel the defending was poor – so I guess we did add to our own downfall, although all in all the better side probably did win, well the side with more intent. That said you would expect this from a home side really, wouldn’t you?
