Harry Redknapp has told Sol Campbell that he will fall in love with the fans.
Redknapp said: ‘He hasn’t come here for the money. He walked away from a contract at Arsenal worth God knows how many millions. He walked away from it for whatever reason and just wants to play.

‘This must have given him a big lift. No matter what you’ve done in the game, if you get 20,000 people singing your name and making you feel welcome, it’s got to be good.

‘I’ve known Sol since he was 15 and, though he may have had a few problems, I have found him top-class.’
