Grant insists Kaboul was ‘injured’

When I arrived into The Ricoh last night to see the teams and there was no sign of Younes Kaboul my instant reaction was ‘well that is him gone for sure then…’

Although Avram Grant has ‘insisted’ that Younes’ absence was nothing more than ‘injury’ and he expects him to ‘be available’ for the weekend: ‘he couldn’t play, he was injured.

‘Younes was injured, he tried and wanted to play, but for him to play two games in four days is not good.

‘But I think he will be available for Saturday.’

Hmmm, maybe, maybe not – I guess time will tell?

I would VERY much hope that we do keep Younes – and there were ‘rumours’ of a deal with Sunderland involving cash and Anton Ferdinand, which has been ‘played down’ – but would still, in all honesty, be surprised if he was still here in February, although I of course hope he is…

This brings us onto the topic of a recent poll, with the findings from Chix’s poll of the opinion that if we got a £14m offer – which is ‘said’ to be the amount we have asked for – we should take it.

  • What the poll asked – Younes Kaboul: £14m – Take it ?

  • How you voted – Yes 74%, No 26%

I think it is a ‘no brainer’ that we would have to accept anything beyond £10m, with or without ‘problems’ like we have, right?

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys…
