Genuine belief of just hope?

‘Pompey will beat Spurs in the semi final’, not my vote, yours – although these findings from pompeyrug’s poll are thoughts that I agree with!

As I am sure most of you know by now I am ‘pretty optimistic’ about our chances going into virtually every game we play, no matter who it is or where it is. This optimism has been shattered a fair amount this season, although this has been the same for ALL of us given what we have gone through, which is fair enough really, right?

Yet, there is just something about this game, a sense of ‘karma’ or scales of justice being ‘tipped’ in our favour somehow that makes me think ‘it is meant to be’…

The pessimism level in the build-up to this game at time had been quite astounding, although the optimism has grown as this game approaches – as, I think, this poll shows but is this ‘genuine belief’ or ‘blind hope’ that we will win, now that is the question?

For me, yep as much as this day means the world to me and is MORE about Portsmouth Football Club and showing everyone what this club means to us, not to mention just enjoying it whatever happens – which I will do on all counts whatever – I DO desperately want to win, maybe I am greedy but I want another FA cup final, and can feel it coming…

  • What the poll asked – FA cup – Spurs v Pompey?

  • How you voted – Pompey win 54%
    Spurs win 46%

Before we move on what are your thoughts on what the last poll concluded? You know what to do, thoughts below please guys…
