Given our outstanding tax bill, and the winding-up petition from HMRC as a result, it is little wonder that clubs are circling like vultures, ready to feast off the Portsmouth Football Club carcass.

The media will knock out ‘link after link’, some will have basis and some will not…

It is common knowledge, pretty much acknowledged by managers at both clubs, that Ipswich are after Jason Pearce and Joel Ward.

So far a couple of offers have been rejected.

Although reports from The East Anglian Times are now saying that Ipswich have not only returned once more, doing so on Tuesday, but returned for not only Pearce and Ward but also another ‘unnamed’ Pompey player too!

This offer is ‘said’ to be around £2m for the trio…

Another new ‘link’ today is one that sees Fulham’s name connected with Ryan Williams.

The Mirror reports that the premier league outfit are ‘preparing a £500,000 bid’ for the Aussie winger.

True reports or not, fending off these vultures is only something we can do for a limited time…
