Weekend reports saw Pompey ‘linked’ with a big money move for the Argentine midfielder, but later that weekend it was ‘said’ that a deal was all but done with Porto?
The Mirror today says ‘Portsmouth are facing a fight with Portuguese giants Porto for Olympiacos’ Argentinian midfielder Fernando Belluschi. Pompey offered £7million for him.’
Is it ‘fact’ that we are somehow still battling with the Portuguese champions for Belluschi, despite obvious disadvantages, or is this nothing more than a column filler for those few small inches that needed filling?
