Distin, Williamson & Brown

The ins and outs at Pompey continue

Sounds like a firm of Estate Agents in North End does it not?

Well it has certainly been a busy few hours in the life and transfer times of Portsmouth Football Club.

The latest news sees our current skipper Sylvain Distin pass a medical to become a Toffee, a bid for another Hornet, Mike Williamson supposedly rejected despite the player wanting to leave and ex-Spur, Blade, Cottager, Latic and Pompey loanee Michael Brown in talks to return to Fratton Park.

Distin will obviously be a loss but if a player wants to go what can you do .. Well say ‘no’ as Watford have done with defender Williamson but surely everybody and every club have their price so it might yet transpire that the ex-Saint (another one!) joins as a squad player ..
Surely he would be no more than cover would he?

More exciting is the prospect of Michael Brown, a player with a ‘never say die’ attitude and something that we have all said we wanted to see – I’m just thankful that Sean Davis has moved on as I still remember that two-footed April fool challenge in 2006 that earned Brown a Red card .. No hard feelings Sean…. Still it’s not like we are due to play Bolton any time soon is it !

So what are your thoughts on these supposed movements?

Can we cope without Dist?

Who will replace him as Skipper .. Mokoena? James? Mullins!

Is Williamson worth fighting for?

Is Brown the kind of player you would like to see wear our shirt?

Will I get through the next 5 days?

As always share your thoughts below
