Pompey have confirmed on The Pompey Site that Sylvain Distin has completed his move to Everton, where he has signed a 3-year contract for a fee ‘said’ to be around £5m?
Paul Hart has wished him well and says that we will miss him.
I am not so convinced that we will to be honest as I do not think his heart has been in it for a long, long time! I just wish that he had openly admitted his desire to leave over the summer, as I suspected he had always wanted, instead of waiting until the eve of the summer transfer window closing to drop this on us…
But hey ho, there you go, he has gone so we move on – there is no point having players play for us that do not want to be here so in a funny kind of way we will be better off, if that makes sense?
