Jason Pearce looks ‘set’ to return to Pompey after about 4-years away with Bournemouth, where he has grown into a fine central defender with several nopower sides interested in taking him on.
Deals with other clubs appeared to be complicated by the 50% sell-on fee that we would receive, but to make this easier the logical thing has seemed to be us re-signing the 23-year-old and it ‘seems’ as though this is exactly what we will do!
Apparently a deal has been agreed and he will undergo a medical, which should be straightforward, before his return is finalised.
So, all being well our numbers will grow a little bit more in the coming hours as money signing no.1 of the summer is made.
