I care more about Pompey than I do England! Not my vote, yours – although these findings from The Rabbi’s poll are thoughts I completely agree with.

I am a proud Englishman and as much as I might try to pretend that ‘I do not care’ about England at times I know that I do, and always will – however a choice between Pompey and England will yield only one winner every time… Pompey.

What has happened with England over the past few years has seen them slip right down in my order of importance, as I say I do care but the distinct lack of passion, commitment and enthusiasum coming out of the England performances for several years now has seen them go from virtually on a par with Pompey, to Pompey success over England any day of the week.

I was ‘disappointed’ that we lost out to Croatia last night, at first I thought I was ‘gutted’ but soon realised it was only disappointment, I have not been anywhere near as ‘gutted’ as I thought I would be in all honesty, maybe this will come next summer when we aren’t there…

I care, before anyone says that I do not, or the other 90 odd percent do not care, just clearly not as much as I – we – do about Pompey!

What the poll asked – Who do you care more about?

How you voted – Pompey 96%, England 4%

Current Poll – Club football finally returns this weekend with a trip to Birmingham, scene of that horrendous 5-0 thrashing the last time we visited.

We may have been hammered that day, but we were the ones that stayed up, so we ended up laughing at the end of the season, but who will be laughing on Saturday – this is what pompeyrug wants to know with this – ‘Birmingham v Pompey?’ Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

PLAY UP POMPEY!
