Boro beware of goal hungry Pompey!

When Pompey play Boro at Fratton Park they will get a spanking! Not my vote, yours – although these findings from Et_tu_Pompeii’s poll are thoughts that I would agree with.

We are winning away for fun, with the goals coming fairly freely in the process but we cannot get a goal let along a win at Fortress Fratton for love nor money…

Since hitting 7 against Reading we have failed to score in our last 3 league outings at home, with all 3 ending 0-0.

Boro have taken a pasting from Pompey before, so the majority feel that Gary O’Neil’s current employers could be the side to feel the brunt of Pompey’s built up frustration when they come to the Fortress at the end of the year.

Whilst Boro are more likely to concede goals against us I would be very surprised if we do not end our goal drought against Spurs in our next home game – they are abysmal at the back, so we should have plenty of chances…

What the poll asked – Which team will be the first to cop a seasonal stuffing at Fratton Park from the frustrated Blues?

How you voted – Boro on 29th Dec 45%, Spurs on 15th Dec 37%, Arsenal on 26th Dec 5%, Only stuffing will be on 25th Dec 5%, Derby 19th Jan 4%, Chelsea 2nd Feb 2%, Sunderland 23rd Feb 1%, Birmingham 8th March 1%

Current Poll – We return to Birmingham this weekend to take on Villa, but can we come away with 3pts again on this latest visit to the second city?

Villa are on a fine run of form and should be a team that we aspire to finish close to, if not above this season but can we stretch the unbeaten run against them this weekend, or will it end – this is what pompeyrug wants to know with this – ‘Villa v Pompey?’ Let the poll do the talking before we do when it finishes.

PLAY UP POMPEY!
