Pompey will feature in at least two more Sky Sports games this season after the powers that be decided meetings with Oxford and Wigan warrant the attendance of the cameras.

It was announced – ahead of the weekend defeat – Sky Sports had selected the visit of Oxford to Fratton Park in March, picking this up for television treatment.

This game was originally scheduled to take place at our ground on Saturday 24th March. However, following the Sky selection of their latest TV fixtures this one is among them.

As such it has been moved back to the Sunday slot, taking take place on 25th and in order to accommodate the cameras the game will kick off at 4pm.

Paul Cook’s return to Fratton with League One leaders Wigan will also be broadcast.

The Easter Monday – 2nd April – meeting at the South Coast is to start at 5:30pm, which is hardly ideal, especially for the visiting Latics fans.

Where will Pompey be by the time of these games? Who knows, but if we’re there or thereabouts for a play off spot – I’m not convinced we will in all honesty – then these will be two crucial games where maximum points are a must…doing this against ‘the top sides’ hasn’t happened too often mind.
